The app

Safe to Quit looks at what’s running on your Mac, its memory, heat and battery, and your Mac’s own power log, all on your Mac. None of that is sent anywhere. What it learns about your apps’ normal levels is saved in a file on your Mac and nowhere else.

Once a day the app asks safetoquit.com for the newest version number. That request contains no information about you, your Mac or your apps. You can turn it off in Settings.

The website and buying

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We keep your email address, the amount you paid and your order number, so we can send your download link, send it again if you ask, and handle refunds. Receipt emails are sent through our own email system on Amazon Web Services.

If you asked to hear when checkout opens, we keep that email address only for that message.

The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies.
